Atlanta City Council District 2


Zelda Jackson is a native of Charleston, South Carolina who came to Atlanta to attend Morris Brown College. After receiving her B.A. in Political Science, Zelda made Atlanta home. She now serves as Board Member on Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association.


Moving Atlanta Forward

Zelda has over 20 years of civic experience working with exceptional leaders such as Congressman John Lewis Congressional 5th District as a Special Assistant; Atlanta City Council District 2 Councilmember Debi M. Starnes Chief of Staff; Georgia House of Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan District 39 as her Legislative Aide; and lastly The Office of the Municipal Clerk in the City of Atlanta as a contractor to Rhonda Dauphin Johnson.

Zelda’s civic life includes serving on numerous boards such as The Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association.  Zelda has a Master in Business Administration from Beulah Heights University, and became a homeowner at Peachtree Towers Condominiums in 1997.
